Have been visiting Sweet Basil with family and friends for 20 years - cannot fault it - 10/10 every time. Food amazing, staff lovely and welcoming. Dining atmosphere very pretty with lovely decorations. Definitely recommend!

Extensive menu for both Chinese and Thai cuisine. Very good 'Yorkshire' portions and all our party ate well. We were a party of 12 and a couple of mixup over our orders is why the lower rating. However, all issues were quickly put right and everyone enjoyed their food.

POWERFUL CHINESE FOOD ***** we were staying in the area for the weekend and thought we would try for the first time. Hands down some of the most flavoursome Chinese food I’ve had in a long time! Such a shame I don’t live near this place as it would easily become my regular. Look forward to coming back! We got take away but the place was very welcoming and nice when I went to collect. Keep up the good work

Best Chinese I’ve ever had! My partner and I visited after hearing such good things, and I can’t recommend enough. Best crispy won tons we’ve eaten. And the beef chow mien was amazing! Highly recommend

My mates decided to take me here for a little treat, and never have these lot failed to satisfy me! The food is always amazing and the best part? They make halaal chicken so if any of you foodies want a great meal? I promise this place is a MUST! Lucky for me i literally live 2 miles up the road. The staff always try thier best and the food compliments it.

First visit to this Restaurant and it definitely will not be the last, the decor, service and food were first class. For Starters we had Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Crispy Wontons, both came with a Sweet n Sour dip. Main course was Special Fried Rice and Sliced Duck in Ginger & Onion sauce with a side of chips. No dessert because we were full.

The best king prawn king fried rice and satay chicken I've had in a very long time!! Thoroughly enjoyed my dish. Saved some and had it boxed to have for lunch the next day. Service and the staff were very friendly and polite. Wasn't too busy but it was mid January. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Decor was lovely. Plenty of free parking outside. Apparently this was previously a Little Chef restaurant, for those that remember. Highly recommended and I look forward to dining here again.
